There has been a huge uproar these past few days over a blog post that indicated that the original line of Galaxy S phones and tablets will not have an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update available for them.
There was such a huge uproar that Samsung is reportedly rethinking it’s decision of not having an update made for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Captivate, Fascinate, Epic 4G and Vibrant.
The Samsung Galaxy S was named the best selling phone on T-Mobiles network and was a huge hit all around the globe.
Now reports from a South Korean media outlet, “Ajnews” says that Samsung has decided to review its earlier decision after countless complaints it received.
Before this Samsung had maintained that due to memory limitations and the TouchWiz interface these devices could not be updated to the latest version of Android.
But experts have said that the Google Nexus S which runs pretty much the same hardware is to be updated too and also that the TouchWiz interface can be removed if it was completely necessary to make Android Ice Cream Sandwich work on these models.
The owners of the latest versions of the Galaxy line of devices need not fret for they will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich soon in 2012.
