With transition in technology over years, now everyone look out for approaching everything electronically, be it learning classes or chatting, and so is going for telehealth options for checkups and consultations in cases where physical visit becomes infeasible. Honeywell has initiated in developing telehealth app for Samsung devices. Honeywell HomeMed’s remote healthcare platform, Genesis Touch is being speculated to be featured in Samsung’s Galaxy tablet.
The app developer stated that it used Genesis Touch software in such a way that the patients and the consulted person are able to carry out telehealth sessions using the touchscreen capabilities of the 7-inch Android tablet. The Genesis Touch software was launched a week back, which allows the tablet to connect to basic medical device peripherals to keep track on blood glucose count, blood oxygen level, temperature etc. The telehealth app is expected to work in a procedural manner that includes retrieving the required data from the patient (the patient needs not to enter it; touchscreen will do it all), sends the data to Honeywell’s Web-based LifeStream Management Suite, which then gives feedback to the doctors to monitor patient’s condition.
The best thing of the app is that patients too are allowed to view the dashboard that contains their health information, which later can be followed up by nurses too in case of any diagnosis.
